A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for the region through noon on Friday as the risk for frozen precipitation for the Houston area remains. The National Weather Service reports a 30% chance of frozen precip/snow through the afternoon and an 80% chance this evening. Snow/sleet accumulations of up to 4 inches are possible (see graphics below) by morning. Temperatures will remain below freezing for the night and majority for tomorrow, however some areas may get above freezing for 4-6 hours tomorrow in the early afternoon.
