The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association’s winter outlook predicts a drier and warmer winter this year. Although there could be short spouts of colder than average temperatures, overall La Nina is predicted to bring us a warmer winter than usual. Additionally, La Nina, as well as other factors, is also predicted to keep the Southern Plains region (including Texas) drier than normal. Due to this, the severe drought conditions for the state are predicted to continue through the winter season.
