The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning tonight for many areas of rural Southeast Texas. Light winds and clear skies will allow temperatures to drop below freezing for a few hours overnight tonight primarily between 4am and 8am. The urban areas and areas near the coast should stay above freezing. People in the threat areas are advised to take precautions and protect their pets, plants, and pipes.
