After becoming a Category 1 Hurricane, becoming nearly stationary overnight, and making two landfalls over the Louisiana coast…Isaac has now been downgraded to Tropical Storm status.
Isaac is forecast to bring over 20″ or rainfall to some areas of Louisiana as it slowly moves inland over the next 24-48 hours at a forward speed of only 6 mph.
The impacts to the Houston-Galveston region is forecast to be only minimal amounts of rain over the next 3-4 days and 20-30mph winds over the area. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the SE Portions of the Houston/Galveston area at this time.
