High potential for heavy rains over the next few days. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will onset across the region after midnight tonight and increase in coverage and intensity early Thursday.
Thursday Night-Friday Morning:
Cold front will move into the region and slow down allowing widespread thunderstorms to develop across the region. Specific areas of storm development are difficult to determine at this time. The risk of flooding is a high concern overnight Thursday into early Friday.
Rainfall Amounts:
Risk of rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches widespread with isolated amounts upwards of 5-6 inches appear reasonable at this time. Given saturated grounds and rainfall of this magnitude, the risk of standing water on roadways and and rises on area watersheds is high.
I would highly advise paying close attention to the situation and watch for standing water or road closures through Friday afternoon.
