The potential for heavy rain across Harris County continues. The main portion of the event appears to have passed through the area, however additional scattered heavy rainfall with amounts of up to 1-2 inches will still be possible for the next 2-4 hours, especially for the eastern portions of the county. Many areas have already seen 1-3 inches of rainfall in the past 24 hours, and isolated amounts up to 5-6 inches on the south eastern portions of the county near Clear Lake. Use caution while driving, as many roadways may have localized standing water until the rainfall diminishes.
