NHC Experimental Timing for Landfall of Tropical Storm Force Winds
The disturbance which was being monitored and the Gulf of Mexico has been upgraded to Tropical Storm Cindy early this afternoon. The storm is currently stationary but expected to continue northwestern movement as we move into this evening.
Although most current model tracks are in agreement at bringing the storm inland around the Texas Louisiana border, the National Hurricane Center has moved the cone of uncertainty (the white cone in the graphic below) increasingly west into Texas.
As of this afternoon, tropical storm watches for our area have been upgraded to tropical storm warnings.
Rain probabilities continue to be similar to those discussed in previous updates.
