A strong cold front is forecast to pass through the region Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Once the front passes, and the winds subside, the atmosphere will allow for the temperatures to drop into the thirties for the entire region with a freeze potential north of a line from Liberty to Brenham. Areas around or north of this line have the potential for freezing for a period of 3-6 hours.
Areas south of the line will see temperatures in the mid to upper 30s with lows in the 40s and 50s at the coast. No major rainfall is forecast to come to the region as the front passes. It appeasers that rainfall changes will stay below 30 percent through next week.
If you are in the northern areas of the region, prepare to protect your pipes, plants, and pets.
