Flash Flood Threat Approaching from the West

A band of very heavy rainfall developed early this morning along and old boundary left from yesterdays round of thunderstorms. The heaviest bands of rainfall are to our west approaching Sealy at this time and are slowly moving east. Rainfall totals in these bands have dropped from 2-5 inches of rain in the past few hours.

Since our ground across the region remain saturated from the recent past rainfall events, if these storms make it further east into Austin, Fort Bend, and Harris Counties with dissipation, flash flooding can rapidly occur.

Stay tuned to the weather today for further information.
