Rain Threat Continues This Weekend

A frontal boundary will approach our area Saturday evening into Sunday morning.   If storms form  ahead of the front, they are predicted to be slow moving.  Estimated amounts of 1-3 inches can be expected with isolated totals of 3-6 inches.

Since our bayous, rivers, and reservoirs remain at elevated levels and grounds remain saturated, it will not take much rainfall to trigger flash flooding in the region.

A flash flood watch is currently in effect for our area through May 31st.
