Risk for Severe Weather Today

There is a risk for severe weather this afternoon and tonight as a cold front moves though Southeast Texas.  While most of he area should expect general scattered showers and thunderstorms, some of the stronger cells could produce strong damaging winds, hail, and the possibility of isolated tornadoes.

Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio, local media, and stay alert for wireless emergency messages (WEA) from your cellular devices as these storms move through.  The nighttime hours are a dangerous time for severe weather impacts due to the limited visibility.
