There is the potential for Tropical Storm development in the Gulf of Mexico later this week. Some models do show risk to Southeast Texas. If this does occur, it will present a flood risk with little notice.
Although this would pose predominantly a rain/flood event to the region, start to prepare your homes and review your hurricane season plans.
